Free Chinese Learning Resources
Choose a Chinese learning resource for your child’s current practice: character writing, Primary 4 picture composition or Primary 6 Higher Chinese comprehension. The writing sheets open as images; the P4 and P6 resources are PDF downloads.
Use a resource to practise one skill, discuss what your child notices and review the attempt together. These materials support home practice alongside school lessons; they are not a placement test or a promise of a particular grade.

CHARACTER WRITING · IMAGE
Chinese character writing practice
Open the existing writing sheet and look closely at how a character sits inside each box. Practise a short line, then compare character shape and spacing rather than rushing to fill the whole sheet.

Character practice boxes
Use the character practice sheet for a small selection of words your child is already learning. Ask your child to read each word and use it in a short phrase as well as writing it.

P6 Higher Chinese comprehension
Read the passage, attempt the questions and return to the relevant lines to explain your answers. Discuss difficult words in their sentence context rather than guessing from one word alone.

- Choose one focus: character shape, a clear event sequence or finding evidence in a passage.
- Let your child try first: note where help is needed before giving an example.
- Review one improvement: ask your child to explain a correction, not simply copy it.
